Ryleigh update

Ryleigh is going to be 18 months in a week and a half! Where has the time gone?

Ryleigh absolutly amazes me every day. Shes constantly saying new things and doing new things. My favorite thing to do is just sit and watch her when she doesnt know im looking. There are days where she just has me in stitches laughing at the stuff she says and does. Shes so rotten!

Shes talking so much now. Ive lost count of how many words shes saying. Its got to be btw 50-100 now at least. And shes putting 2 words together now also. The other day I asked her if she wanted lunch. She said Yes. I said ok, lets go. She started walking towards the kitchen saying "lets go, lets go" LOL. The next morning she woke up and all I heard was "Lets go, lets go" Then I heard her throwning her baby dolls out of her crib and saying "BOOM" As each one of them hit the floor.

She is constantly on the go! She has to be doing something at all times. She finally has started watching cartoons, aka "toon toons". My sister gave her a bean bag and she LOVES it, she will actually sit now and watch cartoons for about 15 min-30 min before she comes looking for me. It gives me time to get things done around the house.

She has also decided to be a PICKY PICKY eater. Lucky me...LOL. Im having a really hard time getting her to eat anything. Ive started giving her an extra cup of milk. When I go to the dr for her 18 mo. check Im going to see if I should start giving her pediasure or something. Foods that she normally loved, shes turning her nose up at them. AAAAAAHHHH.

Fun in the Snow

Ive been a horrible blogger lately. Ill try to do better. Things have been so crazy around here. The other day we took Ryleigh in the snow again. The last time we took her out she wasnt walking yet. She had a hard time walking in the snow expecially with all those clothes on. Here are some pics.

Ryleigh's Dr. Visit

I ended up calling the Dr. this morning and they wanted to see her. They checked her temp and it was 100.9, her ears were clear, she has a yellow runny nose and a cough. He said it was a cold. Im glad its just a cold and not her ears again. Normally I would have waited, but with it being friday I didnt want to have to take her to the ER again if things got worse. So I figured a quick dr. trip would ease my mind. I still dont really understand why she would have a fever like that with a cold though. Who knows. I just hope shes up to having a good weekend. I will take lots of pics this weekend to make up for not taking any this week. Can you believe that? I havent picked up the camera at all this week! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes for Ryleigh.

With all of the recent happenings with Ryleigh I forgot to tell you all Thank you so much for voting for Ryleigh in the contest. She got 2nd place. She had well over 100 votes. Shes supposed to get a prize, but havent heard what it is yet.

ER Visit

Saturday night Ryleigh didnt sleep through the night like she normally does. She got up once, I gave her a bottle and put her back to bed. Sunday she had a runny nose. I figured it was just her fall allergies kicking in. She was fussier than normal through the day. Sunday night I layed her down for bed and I had a hard time. She was really fussy and after an hr I finally got her to sleep. I went to bed at around 9pm and at 11:15pm I heard her crying. It wasnt the normal fussy cry where she would go back to bed in a couple min. It was a "Mommy I need you now cry". I picked her up changed her, fed her a bottle and tryed to lay her back down. She wasnt having that at all. She started getting really mad and screaming and crying with tears and all! I was up for 3 hrs with her. At 430am She started again. At least this time it only took an hr to get her back to sleep. Then at 730am there she was again. I called the Dr at 830am when they opened and the Dr called me back. I told him that Ryleigh had a yellow runny nose and a slight cough. He told me to get her some cough meds and if she got worse to call him back. During the day she started Running a slight fever. Between 99 and 100 degrees. Nothing major. She was still really fussy and not eating well. At around 8pm I could see she was very tired and I tryed to lay her down. She screamed for about 1 1/2 hrs straight. It was horrible. I called the on call Dr, and explained to her Ryleighs symptoms. She wasnt a big help. She said to give her tylenol or motrin and see if that would calm her and if not I can take her to the ER. I had given her Motrin 2 hrs before, so it definitly should have kicked in by then. So Bobby and I decided to take her to the ER. She had a double ear infection. Poor girl. Today she seems a little better. Still not 100%. She still has the "sick eyes", red around them, puppy dog looking, Mommy just cuddle me eyes....lol. One plus is Ive gotten some cuddle time with her. Anyone that knows Ryleigh knows that she is just not the cuddle bug...lol. Shes eating and drinking more today, so hopefully by the weekend she will be 100% and we can have a fun weekend! The october fest is this weekend and so Is Miss Anna Banana's 6th Birthday party that we want to go to!

Funny Picture

Ryleigh and I had a little too much fun in the bath tub this evening. We had Bubbles, her new foamy alphabet letters and some more tub toys. Here is a picture. The other day I was out in the yard with Ryleigh, Harley and Chopper. (Harley and Chopper are my dogs). Here is the one I liked the best. I had a few others, but I just thought this was so cute. Harley was sneaking in a kiss and she was just giggling and smiling. After the kiss he sat down beside her and she put her hand on his back. It looked like she was petting him.

Hunter's 2nd Birthday

Yesterday was Hunters 2nd Birthday party (My Nephew). I cant believe hes 2 already! That can only mean that Ryleigh is going to be 1 all too soon :(. We had fun. Hunter had a great time getting all his presents. Expecially the toys! He could have cared less about the clothes, but what 2 yr old prefers clothes over toys...lol. Ryleigh had her first taste of Cheesy Potatos and my oh my did she LOVE them!

This is Hunter with his favorite toy. He kept coming over to me and cutting my arm off. I would fall to the ground moaning in pain, and he would laugh. I would sit up and we would do it all over again. When i said it was my turn to cut him he looked at me with HUGE eyes and said no no and ran away...lol. He cracks me up!

We did it!

Today I decided to leave Ryleigh in the nursery at MOPS. I went in early and checked it out. Met with the caregiver and left Ryleigh in her hands. I think thats one of the hardest things Ive done. I didnt HAVE to, but I knew if I kept her with me she would be disruptive and fussy sitting at a table with nothing for her to do. I checked on her ever 15-20 min (maybe more)....lol. Every time she was fine and playing with a different toy. She played off by herself, which was fine with me. The kids range in age from 6 weeks to 18 months in there. That makes me a bit nervous considering they start the biting phase soon. Today there were 4 kids total and Ryleigh was the youngest one. When I went to pick her up she was watching the TV. I thought it was funny, because we dont watch cartoons here. We watch the news and Today show. (I dont make her watch them they are just on...lol) She was probally looking at the TV thinking where is Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera? LOL

Evaluation

The evaluation was mainly for me to fill out paperwork and talk to her about my concerns. She asked a ton of questions. I chose 2 specialist to come and evaluate Ryleigh. (You have to pick 2). The first lady is for her physical development. Maily gross motor. The second lady is for overal development. She will check Ryleigh in all areas to see if shes lacking anywhere else. (I dont think she is at all) After that appt. I will meet with the lady I met with today. We will discuss the findings and decide if I want 1 or both women to come back if thats necessary, and we will decide how often. With in the next 2 weeks the specialist will be calling to set up appts. So I will update everyone after that.

Update on Life

Well, after calling Dr. Tellers (neurologist) office 4 times in the past 7 WEEKS, he finally called me back. I was so mad that if he didnt call today I was going to camp out in his office untill he did talk to me tomorrow! That is just insane. Anyway, after reviewing me MRI from last year again, he couldnt really find a reason why I was having so much pain. So at 9:55pm on Saturday night I go for another MRI. Bobby is going with me, and since Ryleigh will be in bed my mom will be coming over to the house to sit her while she sleeps and catch up on her computer time since hers is broken.
Tomorrow is Ryleighs evaluation with B-3, I hope all goes well. Im not that worried now, because shes making an effort to crawl. Hasnt quite got it yet, but shes on all 4's rocking. When she goes to move her knee her legs slide apart and she falls...lol. Its a start though.
Bobby is doing good. Not really much to report with him. Hes off with us today, so we are going to go outside for a little bit and hang out.
The Boys are doing good. Rotten as ever though. At night we have been putting them in the basement because its to hot with them laying on us. When its time for them to go downstairs Chopper gets this sad look on his face and starts walking in the opposite direction. Then when he descides that im going to get him he sits down, then flops on his side and rolls on his back to get some belly scratches. LOL. Hes so funny! I will have to get that on video and share it.

9 Month Well Baby visit

Today was Ryleigh's 9mo. appt. For the most part it went well, but in the end I did get some bad news. First off her height and weight are doing fine. She's 17lbs 5.5oz (25th%tile) and 28 1/2" (87th%tile). The nurse said shes "long and lean" LOL. I talked the Dr. about her physical development. She isn't pulling up, crawling, standing, putting weight on her legs. Normally I wouldnt be concerned, because I know all babies do things at different times. But for a month or so, she would stand next to things if we put her there. Now she will not at all, and that worries me. Anyway her evaluation is on wed. at 3pm (the 5th).

Hard decision

I have a hard decision to make. When I go back to MOP's this year I was told that mothers of babies over the age of 6mo.'s are going to be encouraged to send them to the nursery. :( She will be 9mo old tomorrow and Im very proud to say that I have never left her with a stranger. When Bobby and I decided to try and get pregnant we had a long talk. We decided that he would work and I would stay home with the baby. We knew it was going to be hard and we would have to make several sacrafices, but we were willing to do that. (I do realize this isnt an option for every family, so please don't send me hate mail. This is a chioce that was made for my family). We also made the decision that my mom or his mom would be the only ones watching the baby for a while. There has only been 1 occation that she has been left with someone other than my mom or MIL. Anyway, about MOP's....last year we met in a room downstairs in the building and the nursery was upstairs. I didnt feel comftrable with that at all. This year I was told that we would be right beside the nursery and I could tend to her whenever I wanted to or they needed me to. Which is better. The first meeting that we have back in the building is Sept 14th. Im going to go early and check out the nursery and talk with the staff that will be in there with Ryleigh. Im sure I will have a list of questions. After I meet with them and check everything out I will make a decision. I will let you know how it goes.

I have 2 pictures today. I know its supposed to be best SHOT, not shots....lol. But they go together and thats what makes them cute.

Chopper and Ryleigh. Chopper vary rarely lays beside or plays with Ryleigh. This day he was being so sweet and it was as if they were the bestest friends. I love how he's looking at her in the first picture, and then how he sneaks a kiss in the second.

Teeth!

Finally Ryleigh has 1 tooth, and another one on the way. 3 days ago I discovered them under the gum, and yesterday the bottom left one broke through. Now we are waiting on the bottom right. Here is a picture.

Busy day yesterday!

Yesterday I has an eye appt at walmart. (Follow up to see about the contacts) I picked my sister up at 10am, so she could keep an eye on Ryleigh while I went back to the appt. After the appt we took Ryleigh to see daddy and talked for a little bit. Then we looked around walmart. Rona had a few things she needed for school, and I needed a few things to start my sewing adventure. After that Rona went into Bed, Bath and Beyond. I stayed in the car with the sleeping princess. Then it was off to ToysRus to return the umbrella stroller. The rubber handle broke. Then I found out that that stroller was discontinued and the only way to get the same one was to wait 3 + weeks for a store to store transfer, or get the plain dumb purple/black one. That was the only one remotly "girly". So we went with purple :( (I learned a return trick from Carly. Create a registry and put that item on it as "bought". It makes for a hassle free return! Thanks Carly)

Then, off to Gabes to get more stuff for Rona, and to look around for Ryleigh things. The only thing I found was 2 red doggie collars for $.49!!! Great deal! Then off to DHHR so they could copy a paper they needed. After that I dropped Rona off at the house and went HOME. By that time it was almost 3pm! I put Ryleigh down for a nap and asked Beverly to help me with the sewing machine. To make a long story short I was on the phone with her and looking at her web cam for about 30 min or more and it didnt work :( I did find a free manual online for it, I just have to find somewhere to print it out. Its 20 pages....yikes! I have a printer with ink, but its not compatable with Vista. So anyway, the sewing is on hold till I figure out the machine. I did find out that my machine is 15 years old! WOW. Older things seem to be made better, so Im hoping it still works. I really want to learn to sew!
