Learning Experience

I have learned so much this week about so many thing. First I have learned that im alot better in a crisis than I thought I ever would or could be. God has really shown me just how strong I really am.
Second god has shown me what is important in life and what is not.
Third I have found out who I can count on. I have been amazed at the support I have gotten, and who I have gotten it from. I have been so amazed by the items we have recieved so far and thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. Trust me though, you all will be properly thanked when things settle down.

For those that have no idea what im taking about, My IL's house burnt down on Monday. The house was a total loss and they didnt have renters insurance. My MIL was there at the time. She was out on the pourch talking to the neighbors that were buying the house beside hers. She wasnt hurt at all in the fire. My Fil was at work. Its been a super tough week, but I think we all are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now. Clothes and household items are coming in and shes seeing the love all these people are showing for a lady they dont even know. Its absolutly amazing.

Here is a link to pictures of the house http://s138.photobucket.com/albums/q254/Kipani4jc/Mils%20House%20after%20the%20Fire/

After the parade we went to where they have the petting zoo. Ryleigh LOVED the cows! They were mooing at her and she would laugh and moo back at them. The whole day she was talking about the cows. "Moo Moo"

Then at the end we went up to where they have the crafts. We did ALOT of walking. Ryleigh did so well with it all. We only carried her for a little bit here and there. When we were up at the crafts, Ryleigh decided she was hungry. I was standing with my Bobby and Ryleigh waiting for my mom to purchase an item. Ryleigh walked up to some random stranger and tryed to grab her kettle corn bag! The lady was SUPER NICE and asked Ryleigh if she wanted some. Bobby and I both said, not thats ok we will get her some in a bit. Ryleigh was shaking her head yes and looking at the lady saying "Please!" So the nice lady opened her bag and let Ryleigh take a handful, then told Bobby to take a handful for the road for her. I was LMAO! Then after that my mom saw a lday she knew. She too had a kettle corn bag that she had for her granddaughter. Ryleigh walked over and again helped herself to some kettle corn.

After that we came home and Bobby and Ryleigh took a nap. We went back up for round 2 in the evening and met my inlaws there. Ryleigh was so excited to "bounce bounce" (Wait till she finds out what her mamaw got her for christmas...) Then she wanted to slide, so her cousin Olivia said she would help her up. Olivia had a hard time, so I took my shoes off and climbed up. Let me tell you that is HARD! Climbing with one hand and pushing a toddler up the ladder. After the 2nd time I physically couldnt have done that again!

After all that the inlaws went home and Bobby and I went back to the car to prepair for "the pretty's in the sky". We got our chairs, blankets, coats, and gloves and walked up the hill to get a good spot. For 2 1/2 hrs we sat on the hill in the cold waiting for the fireworks to start. That was the absolute BEST part of the day. Ryleigh ran up and down the hill, smiling and laughing and it was awsome. When it got time to watch the fireworks I told her "Theres going to be Pretty's in the sky soon. Its going to be very loud, but its ok, mommys got you!" I told her that several times. She would say "pretty's? Sky? Youd (loud) Mama" And I would say yep, its going to be loud. Bobby and I had a bet on what she was going to do. I chose she was going to "freak out" and we were going to have to make a mad dash to the car. He thought she would be fine, and she was! I lost :(

Dear Ryleigh,

Wow, in just 3 days you will be 21 months old! Where has the time gone? Pretty soon we will be having your 2nd birthday party. I will be the mother of a 2 year old!? You are such an amazing little girl. Evey day is a new adventure and you have taught me so much. Here I am supposed to be teaching you, and your teaching me.
You know what you want and what you don't want. That's for sure. You make it known that everyone else knows what you want as well. You have formed a very special bond with your "dubba" (blanket for those of you that are not fluent in Ryleigh yet). "Dubba" goes everywhere with us and is very rarely out of your sight. I'm trying to get you to take "little dubba" when we leave the house and keeping your big dubba at home. Sometimes you go for it, sometimes you put your little foot down and make it very clear that's not going to happen...hehe.
Your eating is improving some, but its not the greatest. Getting you to try new things doesn't happen very often. Usually it only happens when you initiate it. Most of the time you find out that what you have tasted, you actually like! Imagine that...lol For breakfast you eat things like Cheerios, Maple Brown sugar oatmeal, cinn. toast and a cup of milk. Lunch and dinner are usually just grazing here and there. When you tell me your hungry Ill give you a healthy choice like fruit, cottage cheese, string cheese, buttered noddles, mac n cheese, spaghetti or peas with butter and sprinkle cheese. Those are your favorites.
Your learning so much in the last month or so. Some of the things we are working on are: numbers, shapes, colors and animal sounds. You understand the concept of counting, but everything is 2 with you. You will through your bean bags in the bucket and say 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 for all of them. Its a work in progress I guess. Your colors, you know Yellow, brown, pink and green the best. Every once in a while you will get some others like purple, blue and red. Shapes, you know Heart, star, moon (crescent shape) and circle. We are working on Triangle and square also, but your having a hard time with those. Animal sounds you know, Cat (that's my favorite one you do), duck, cow, horse, dog, sheep and frog.
You love cartoons! Your favorite is Oswald. I have no idea why, but you love that octopus! You other favorites are Dora, Diego and backyardigans.
Your speech is amazing! You know exactly how to get your point across as to what you want. Your putting 3 words together now also. You are so polite too. You always say thank you. It makes me even more proud of you to hear you say it, cause it means that I'm doing something right as a mom. I love you more than you know. One day when your a mom and you look at your child and your hear explodes with love, then you will know how much I love you...

Company Picnic

Yesterday was my moms company picnic. I got Ryleigh to nap early and we headed over around 1pm. We had a yummy catered lunch! Ryleigh was playing with some other kids and they had a ball. She wanted it, but didn't want to play what they were playing. God forbid she *gasp* SHARE THE BALL. LOL So I went up to the car and got her ball so she would run around with them. We tryed to get her to throw it to the other kids so they could throw it back to her. But that involved letting go of the ball and another child just might take it...so she would have none of that! After that we went and played on the playground, then took a paddle boat ride. She liked the boat, but HATED the life vest she had to wear. Ill post a pic of her crying about it. We had a great day!

If you look at the pic below you will see she has HER ball, and is trying to take the pink one too!

I dont know what she was doing, but she looks like such a big girl doing it...lol
