Ripleys Aquarium

Ripleys aquarium was a lot of fun. Ryleigh loved it. She kept pointing to the fish and saying "fish". I think everyones favorite part was the tunnel! That was awsome! The pics arent the greatest. Its hard to take pics in dark settings when things are moving.

The beach

The beach was just how I remembered it from when I was little! Now I got to experience it with my daughter. It was her own ginormous sand box! She wasnt very fond of the waves coming in at first, but by the end of the trip she loved it. The first time the wave hit her feet and started to wash back into the ocean she lifted her feet up to get out of it. (I was holding her hands) Here are some of the beach pictures from the week.

We are back!

Vacation was a blast! And worth every penny we spent! The trip down took about 12hrs. We left my house at around 1130 and picked Kim and Haylee up. We were on the road by midnight just like we wanted. We had hoped that by leaving at night the girls would sleep most of the trip down. Needless to say that didn't happen. The only thing we accomplished was Kim and Bobby being sick from lack of sleep. Ryleigh and Haylee finally fell asleep around 3am and only slept for about 2 hrs. The GPS was taking us on some scenic adventures too. It would tell us to exit the interstate, drive us around town and back on the interstate we went. Hmm... Then we would be driving down the interstate and it would say "turn left in .4 miles" and it would be a left into a fence! Good thing we didn't turn. I don't know how enterprise would have taken that. Can you see me trying to explain to them why the van was wrecked because the GPS told us to turn??

We got to Myrtle Beach Resort at noon. We checked in and unpacked everything into the condo. It was really nice. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an eat in kitchen, living room and a big balcony with an AWSOME view.

Waterbabies

Today was our first day of waterbabies. We had a blast! Ryleigh did fairly well. She loved the water and the tub up intill about 2 weeks ago. She slipped backwards in the tub and hit her head pretty hard. (She was ok in the end) Scared us all pretty bad. Ever since then shes been very leary of getting in and gets very upset if you put her down, or she even thinks your going to. Who could blame her though. Here are some pics of todays class.

Festival

Today we went to a fall festival. This morning there was a parade and we went with my mom and dad. Ryleigh did really well with all the sirens on the fire trucks. One time they were right in front of us when it went off and she got a little nervous and clung to me. We got all kinds of candy from all the people in the parade. Little do they know that Bobby and I eat it all....hehe. After the Parade, my dad left and me, Bobby and my mom walked up to look at the crafts and get the cinnimon roasted Almonds....MMMMM. Every year we look forword to those. After we did that we went to the petting zoo and suprisingly Ryleigh pet the animals and wasnt scared. We listened to the band play at the opening ceremony then we bought the honey sticks and headed for home so Ryleigh could take a nap. She took a 3 hr nap, and I took a 2 hr nap. Then we were ready for round 2. We went back and met up with his family this time and walked around pet the animals again, bought a pickle which Ryleigh loved (Shes definitly my daughter...lol) and watched Olivia on the jumping thing and went home. Its been a long day. Here are some pics

Bon Fire

On Sunday we had a little bon fire. Me, Bobby, Ryleigh, Rona (Sis), Brian (her b/f), My mom, Dad and the boys (dogs). It was fun, we stuffed ourselves full of marshmallows and talked. What could be better? Chopper was trying to catch the sparks that came out of the fire. After a while he was getting braver and braver and I was scared he was going to jump in the fire, so I had to put him in the house. Harley was a little cuddle bug and went from one person to the next getting some lovin. Here are some pictures of my parents, Bobby and Ryleigh. By the time Rona and Brian got there it was just too dark for decent pictures.

My Moms Company Picnic/Best Shot Monday

Saturday Me, Bobby and Ryleigh went to my moms company picnic. We ate some good food, and mingled with some of her co-workers. Then we let Ryleigh play at the playground. She was swinging on the swing and went down the slide. Her new thing with the swings is to sit clear up at the front of the swing to where she is almost hanging out of it...lol. And she moves her legs like shes running. Shes so silly!

After that we took a paddle boat ride. She had to wear a life vest, which was tooooo funny! She sat there in her big life vest and didnt fuss at all. Even though she couldnt move at all in it.
After that we went to the zoo to ride the train. The conductor has an Ostrich Egg. It was 5lbs! He let my mom hold it while we rode the train. We took good care of "Henrietta".

After that Me, Bobby, Ryleigh, Tammy and Anna went to the pool. Boy was it COLD! Anna jumped right in and was fine. I was standing on my tip toes while everything below my waist went numb! Bobby sat on the edge of the pool and handed Ryleigh to me.
She didnt care that the water was cold either. Then I noticed her bottom lip was turning purple and it was quivering, so Bobby got a towel and held her on the side of the pool. I got out a few mins after that. Anna stayed in and showed us all of her tricks...lol.
